Adobe InDesign Board Game Class (6th-12th Grade)

Tuesdays, July 7th-21st - 6:00pm-8:00pm

What does it take to turn a great idea into a game you can actually hold in your hands? In this three-day hands-on workshop, board game designer Ian Zang teaches students the creative and technical skills behind professional game design. Using Adobe InDesign, the industry-standard tool for print layout and graphic design.

Ian brings real-world expertise to every session: he has designed two award-winning board games and is the creator of A Familiar Find, an upcoming title set in the world of Critical Role's adventures, published by Darrington Press. Over six hours of instruction and making, students will explore the fundamentals of layout, typography, and visual design while building their own unique deck of cards from scratch. By the end of the course, every student walks away with a custom-designed deck — designed, laid out, and printed by them.
