Rentals

Building and Room Rentals are now available in a limited capacity.

All room/court rentals require a $150 refundable security deposit.
There is a minimum of 2 hours for all room rentals.  Additional hours may be added in 1 hour increments.

All rentals are hourly rates.

Rent the GRIT Freedom Chair

Monday-Friday - 9:00am-3:00pm

The GRIT Freedom Chair is an all-terrain wheelchair built for every type of adventure. Developed by MIT engineers, this easy-to-push, lever-driven wheelchair comes armed with rugged mountain bike wheels, a big, sturdy front wheel that doesn’t get stuck, and optional trail handles, allowing you to choose your own adventure. Instead of grabbing onto the wheels directly, push the levers forward to propel yourself.  This device was made possible by a generous grant from the mParks Foundation.

Weight limit is 250 lbs and height accommodation is 4'10”-6'8". 

The chair is currently available for use between the hours of 9am-3pm Monday-Friday and be used at the center or outside on the grounds.  Your rental hour includes a brief tutorial of how to use the freedom chair. The chair must stay on the Oceola community center property (paved path or grass area) during the rental time.

Community Center Features


Gymnasium & Walking Track

The gymnasium area is home to three full size courts lined for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball as well as an indoor walking track on the upper floor. The gym space and walking track are open for members when not programmed for by Howell Recreation. A drop-in rate is available for non-members.

The fitness room is home to a variety of fitness equipment available for members. A drop-in rate is available for non-members.

Tot Time at the Oceola Community Center

Thursdays, 10am-11:30am

Calling all those who have toddlers or kids under 5! Drop in at the Oceola Community Center Thursdays from 10am-11:30am for Tot Time in the gym! Kids Under 5 and their caregivers are welcome to use the gymnasium space during this time. Strollers may be pushed on the rubber flooring around the gym, kids can run around the gym space, and we will have soccer and basketballs available to play with.

$2/Adult (kids under 5 are free)

Sponsor a Gymnasium Banner

Sponsoring a banner at the Oceola Community Center gymnasium space is a great way to get your business noticed! Banners are 3 ft tall x 7 ft wide and are displayed on the 2nd floor of the gym space (visible from both the courts and the walking track).

$300/year renewal fee
