Jiffy Mix Trip
Join us on a tour of the “Jiffy” Mix Plant in Chelsea, MI. The Chelsea Milling Co. is home to the famous “Jiffy” Mix that was developed in the 1930’s and remains a pantry staple to this day. This one hour tour consists of an educational video presentation and refreshments (including a product sample). After the tour, we will have lunch at the Common Grill in Downtown Chelsea (lunch not included in price). Click here for more information.
Doc May Memorial Melon Ride
This ride has become a Melon Festival tradition and is our way of celebrating the life and work of Dr. Pat May. The course is 15 miles long and highlights historic neighborhoods, the McPherson Park Bike Path, Crosstown Trail, Howell City Park, and Lakeview Cemetery. The ride ends back at the Courthouse where melon ice cream will be served. The first 100 riders will receive a route map and a commemorative t-shirt. Click here for more information.
38th Annual Howell Melon Run
Join the community tradition of the 38th Annual Howell Melon Run, one of the most scenic and beautiful run/walks through residential streets, historic Lakeview Cemetery, and Howell City Park. The race starts and finishes in downtown Howell. Bring the whole family to enjoy all the special events including the Melon Roll, 1/4 Mile Tot Trot, Mascot Dash, One Mile Fun Run/Walk, 5K, and 10K.
