12th Annual Howell Independence Aquathlon & Open Water Swim

The Howell Independence Aquathlon is a unique, multi-sport event which includes a 2K run, a 750m swim, and a final 2K run. The run takes place through Howell City Park and beautiful Lakeview Cemetery. The swim portion takes place in Thompson Lake off of Howell City Park. We also have a one-mile Open Water Swim. The all-inclusive price allows you to participate in both events, or choose one. 


Start and finish lines, registration, refreshments, and awards are all held at Howell City Park. The park is located at the corner of Thompson & Barnard Streets in Howell, near North Michigan Avenue


Registration and packet pickup will begin at 8am at the Howell City Park Beach Concession Stand. 
Open Water Swim begins at 9am 
Aquathlon begins at 10am 
Awards immediately follow the Aquathlon


1st through 3rd place awards for each age and gender category (based on age as of December 31, 2014). 
15-19 / 20-24 / 25-29 / 30-34 / 35-39 / 40-44 / 45-49 / 50-54 / 55-59 / 60-64 / 65-69 / 70-74 / 75-79 / 80+

Entry Fee 

Entry fee includes t-shirt for pre-registrants
Cost of either one or both events: 
    By 11:59pm on July 2 - $30 
    Day of the event - $35
