Tiny Tot Soccer (3 &4 year olds)

This is a fun, instructional league for children ages 3 & 4. Volunteer coaches will work with the young children to learn the sport of soccer, all while having fun on the field. Skills that are taught are: passing, shooting, and positioning. All teams are co-ed. Deadline to register is August 17. A $10 late fee will be added to any registration after this date. Volunteer coaches are necessary for this program.

Tennis Lessons for Beginners (ages 7 & up)
Our tennis lessons are geared to help students learn the game of tennis. Students will learn proper form for forehand, backhand strokes, serve and basic footwork. Please bring racket, water bottle and wear court shoes.

NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick (ages 5-14)
On Sunday, September 25, the Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority along with the Howell Varsity Football team will host NFL Punt, Pass and Kick. This competition is a chance to test your skills in punting, passing, and kicking. The competition is open to ages 5-15 at no cost. There are separate divisions for boys and girls ages: 5-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 & 14-15. Age division is determined by the age of the child as of December 31, 2011. All participants will receive a certificate. Ribbons are given for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Top scorer in all age divisions move up to Sectionals. The top 5 first place scorers in each age group from Sectionals will advance to Team Championship. Must register by 9/22/11.This is a FREE event!

Girls Fall Basketball (grades 1-6)
Our program is designed to teach young athletes the game of basketball. Players will become more familiar with skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. Non-competitive games and practices will take place at various elementary schools for 1st-4th grades and at Middle Schools for 5th and
6th grades, from 6-7pm and 7-8pm. Start date will be based on the availability of the gyms. A t-shirt is included in the fee. Deadline to register is October 1. A $10 late fee will be added for registrations after this date. Volunteer coaches are needed to make this program successful.

Boys Winter Basketball (grades 1-6)
Our youth basketball program is designed to teach young athletes the game of basketball. Players will become more familiar with skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. League consists of non-competitive games and practices, held at various elementary schools at either 6pm or 7pm.
Deadline to register is Friday, December 2. A $10 late fee will be added on all registrations after December 2.

DBA Basketball Clinic (grades 1-8)
A clinic for players who desire to take the next step in their game. Instructed by current college coaches, your player will be given the tools they need to accelerate themselves in basketball through creative drills, game like situations as well as organized and detailed instruction from experienced
coaches. Clinic will include drills, games, contests to enhance player interest and sharpen skills towards improvement.

Girls Travel Volleyball (grades 4-8)
Want to play some volleyball? This league is a great opportunity to continue playing volleyball if you played in the fall, or if you want to start up now! Our teams will play teams from Hartland, Huron Valley, and South Lyon.
Teams will play to against two different teams a night. Practices will take place during the week and games on Friday's. There are no try outs and teams are put together randomly. Registration deadline for this program is March 2, 2012. All registrations after this date will be subject to a $10 late fee. No meetings during Spring Break.

Pre-Season Kick-Off Clinics
This one day event is designed to offer the Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority soccer players the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills from the Howell Revolution Soccer Club. One hour training sessions
will be organized by grade level. Sessions will include multiple fun training/practice activities organized in stations. A coaches training session will kick off the event to help coaches get resources to help them during
practices and games.

NFL Youth Flag Fall Football and Cheerleading (Grades Pre K – 8th)
The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority is excited to partner with Michigan Youth Flag Football to provide a Flag Football and Cheerleading experience that this area has never seen! Michigan’s largest NFL youth flag football and cheerleading organization is now accepting registrations for
the Fall 2011 season. There are no try-outs! Everyone participates! This is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. Teams are limited to 10 players to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first time
players who want to learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who may want to work on their off-season conditioning. Entry fee includes a reversible NFL jersey, flag belt, and individual award. Practices are held one day during the week at Genoa Township Athletic Fields for the course of the seven game
season. Children will be placed on teams on a first-come, first serve basis, according to school and grade. Deadline to register: September 11.

Each cheer team will have a roster of 5-15 girls. Cheer teams are instructed by the certified staff of Michigan Youth Flag Football. This program is great for beginning cheerleaders as no experience is required. Teams will cheer on the boys and girls in the community during NFL Flag Football games. Entry fee includes a cheerleading uniform and an individual award. Deadline to register is February 27, 2012.
