Trails for bike riding, walking, and running are currently being developed throughout the Howell community. Below are the known walking and biking trails are located within the Authority boundaries.
City of Howell
A 2.5 mile walking, biking trail has been developed in the City of Howell that begins at the Bennett Recreation Center, travels east on Grand River to Isbell Street. Travels south across the train bridge and makes an immediate right onto the walking trail that weaves around the industrial park and runs parallel to the McPherson Park Dr. back to Grand River Ave. Turn right again on Grand River and travel back to the Bennett Recreation Center.
Cycle Howell & Bike the Parks
The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority has also developed a 8.5 mile biking trail that takes riders by 11 of the City of Howell's pocket and neighborhood parks. Click here for a copy of the map.
Marion Township
A 1/4 mile walking trail is located at Marion Park #1 which is located on Triangle Lake Road
Genoa Township
A 1/2 mile walking trail is located on the grounds of the Genoa Township Hall on Dorr Rd.
Crosstown Trail
Major work has taken place on M-59 to develop the Cross Town Trail. The trail is now complete from the intersection of M-59 and I-96 all the way to Michigan Avenue. The complete study on the trail system for the Cross Town Trail can be downloaded by clicking here: Howell Cross Town Trail Study
