After the program has met for the second time, no vouchers will be granted. There will be a $5 administration fee withheld for all vouchers. Vouchers are issued within three days after a request has been made. Vouchers can only be used by immediate family members. Fees must be paid upon registration. We cannot accept post dated checks.

THREE TIER PRICING

As you look through our website and our program guides, you will notice that we use a three (3) tier pricing structure which has been designed to create a more equalized approach to funding recreation services in our community. The three tiered funding formula reflects the different contributions made to recreation by each of the member communities that comprise the Recreation Authority. The City of Howell and Oceola Township annually contribute $100,000 each to the operations of the Recreation Authority. Marion and Genoa Townships annually contribute approximately $60,000 each towards the operations of the Recreation Authority. As a result, residents of the City of Howell and Oceola Township receive a resident rate to participate in recreation programs. Residents of Genoa and Marion Townships receive a mid-step rate as members of the Authority. All others pay a higher non-resident rate.

Three tier pricing based on municipality funding levels.

Tier 1/ Authority:  City of Howell & Oceola Township

Tier 2/Authority Resident : Marion & Genoa Townships
Tier 3/Non-Resident : All Other Townships

Example: $45/ $65/ $90 - Tier 1/ Tier 2/ Tier 3

SCHOLARSHIPS AND REDUCED FEE POLICY
The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority scholarship program is designed to provide financial assistance to children who wish to experience and participate in our recreational activities and programs.  While it is our intent to provide recreational activities to all residents, limitations of how much scholarship assistance families can utilize have been put into place.  This ensures that each deserving child will be able to participate in at least one activity per year. Click here to view our policy and to print the form for assistance.
