Walk at Bennett-Indoor Walking Club (all ages)
We invite you to come and take a walk with us indoors at the Bennett Recreation Center! Our walking program will take place Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:00am-10:00am and Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:00pm-4:00pm. Our space might be small, but we’ve measured out how many times around the gym it takes to walk a mile (33) and we are having loads of fun. Here’s how it works! As soon as walkers have signed in, they will walk to lively music, and record the number of laps walked on their personalized walking sheets. Lap counters will be provided. At each month’s end, laps are tabulated and converted to miles. Walkers who achieve their first 100 miles will be awarded a commemorative t-shirt. Be sure to wear shoes for walking and bring water bottle. The program is free for seniors over the age of 50 with the senior membership and for all others the cost is 50 cents daily for residents of the City of Howell, Genoa, Marion and Oceola Townships, and $1 daily for non-residents. Come on over and get active!
