Special Events   Sunday July 25, 2010 Howell Aquatic Center Check In Begins: 8:00am Event Starts: 9:00am Come and join other youth ages 7-14 who will compete in swimming, biking and running at the 2nd Annual Crosstown Kids Triathlon.  Age divisions will be based on child's age as of December 31, 2010.  Age Divisions include 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14.  Boys and Girls will compete separately. Below are the distances for each age division: Age 7-8: 50 yard swim, 2 mile bike, 1/2 mile run Age 9-10: 100 yard swim, 2 mile bike, 1/2 mile run Age 11-12: 200 yard swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run Age 13-14: 300 yard swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run   Joining us this year is former Olympic Gold Medalist, Sheila Taormina, Sheila won gold in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta in the 4 x 200 meter free style.  She is also the only woman to compete in three different sports in three different Olympiads.  She will be on hand to motivate the participants as well as award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals.  Don't miss the opportunity to meet Sheila and see her Gold Medal!   Cost: $25 early/$30 day of the event.  Deadline to receive early pricing is July 23rd at 12pm.  To register for this event please contact Howell Parks and Recreation at 517-546-0693 ext. 0 To Register online for this event please click here For the race application please click here
