Special Events   Crosstown Kids Triathlon Sunday, TBA Begins at 9:00am The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority along with the Howell Public Schools Aquatic Center is hosting a kids triathlon.  This triathlon is for boys and girls ages 7-14. Age divisions will be based on child's age as of December 31, 2009.  Age divisions include 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14.  Boys and girls will compete separately. Participants will compete in swimming, biking and running.  Below are the distances for each age division.    Age 7-8:  50 yard swim, 2 mile bike, and 1/2 mile run    Age 9-10: 100 yard swim, 2 mile bike and 1/2 mile run    Age 11-12: 200 yard swim, 4 mile bike and 1 mile run    Age 13-14:  300 yard swim, 4 mile bike and 1 mile run Check in begins at 8:00am and event will start at 9:00am.  Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age and gender category.
