Thompson Lake Boat Launch The City boat launch on Thompson Lake is located near the intersection of Lake Street and Roosevelt Street. The site is open from dawn to dusk.   Howell City Boat Launch The boat launch will be open for paid launching between May 1 - October 31 and a seasonal or daily pass ($20) will be required during this timeframe.  Daily passes are available at the Bennett Recreation Center from May 1 - October 31 or at the Howell City Park Main Park Guard Booth from Memorial Day - Labor Day.   Launching of boats will take place from dawn to dusk.  Violators will be ticketed if no valid seasonal or daily pass is visible in windshield.   Seasonal Boat Launch Stickers Seasonal Park & Boat Launch Stickers can be picked up or purchased from the Bennett Recreation Center, 925 W. Grand River Ave., Howell.  (Please bring driver’s license to verify residency.) City of Howell Residents - 2 free stickers ($15 for additional sticker) Oceola Township Residents – 2 free stickers ($15 for additional sticker) Genoa Township Residents - $40/sticker Marion Township Residents - $40/sticker Non-residents - $80/sticker     General Rules Swimming in this area is prohibited Rigging of boats on the launch ramp is prohibited until automobiles have been removed from the ramp. Power loading of boats is not permitted. The discharge of fuels, chemicals, or sewage into the lake or launch area is prohibited. Watercraft operators must have proper license and registration. Alcholic beverages are prohibited. Please keep the boat launch area clean.
