Special Events 7th Annual Howell Independence Aquathlon Sunday, July 5 The 7th Howell Independence Aquathlon is a unique multi-sport event which includes a 2K run, 1000 meter swim and a final 2K run. Run takes place through Howell City Park and beautiful Lakeview Cemetery; swim event in Thompson Lake off of Howell City Park beach. We have also added a one mile Open Water Swim to this event. Awards will be given to all finishers of all events. Come enjoy the beautiful Howell City Park at Thompson Lake and these unique events.
